2012...the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me...earth?

There has been a big stink about the year 2012, and the end of times, that earth will cease to exist because of some other worldly power, but what does NASA (ya know the people who actually study space) say about this? They say it's complete hullaballoo

Since I can't say it any better, this is what NASA has to say on the matter..

"Remember the Y2K scare? It came and went without much of a whimper because of adequate planning and analysis of the situation. Impressive movie special effects aside, Dec. 21, 2012, won't be the end of the world as we know. It will, however, be another winter solstice.

Much like Y2K, 2012 has been analyzed and the science of the end of the Earth thoroughly studied. Contrary to some of the common beliefs out there, the science behind the end of the world quickly unravels when pinned down to the 2012 timeline. Below, NASA Scientists answer several questions that we're frequently asked regarding 2012.

Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.
Answer (A): Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?
A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two fables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?
A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

Q: Could a phenomena occur where planets align in a way that impacts Earth?
A: There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades, Earth will not cross the galactic plane in 2012, and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence.

Q: Is there a planet or brown dwarf called Nibiru or Planet X or Eris that is approaching the Earth and threatening our planet with widespread destruction?
A: Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax. There is no factual basis for these claims. If Nibiru or Planet X were real and headed for an encounter with the Earth in 2012, astronomers would have been tracking it for at least the past decade, and it would be visible by now to the naked eye. Obviously, it does not exist. Eris is real, but it is a dwarf planet similar to Pluto that will remain in the outer solar system; the closest it can come to Earth is about 4 billion miles.

Q: What is the polar shift theory? Is it true that the earth’s crust does a 180-degree rotation around the core in a matter of days if not hours?
A: A reversal in the rotation of Earth is impossible. There are slow movements of the continents (for example Antarctica was near the equator hundreds of millions of years ago), but that is irrelevant to claims of reversal of the rotational poles. However, many of the disaster websites pull a bait-and-shift to fool people. They claim a relationship between the rotation and the magnetic polarity of Earth, which does change irregularly, with a magnetic reversal taking place every 400,000 years on average. As far as we know, such a magnetic reversal doesn’t cause any harm to life on Earth. A magnetic reversal is very unlikely to happen in the next few millennia, anyway.

Q: Is the Earth in danger of being hit by a meteor in 2012?
A: The Earth has always been subject to impacts by comets and asteroids, although big hits are very rare. The last big impact was 65 million years ago, and that led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. Today NASA astronomers are carrying out a survey called the Spaceguard Survey to find any large near-Earth asteroids long before they hit. We have already determined that there are no threatening asteroids as large as the one that killed the dinosaurs. All this work is done openly with the discoveries posted every day on the NASA NEO Program Office website, so you can see for yourself that nothing is predicted to hit in 2012.

Q: How do NASA scientists feel about claims of pending doomsday?
A: For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012.

Q: Is there a danger from giant solar storms predicted for 2012?
A: Solar activity has a regular cycle, with peaks approximately every 11 years. Near these activity peaks, solar flares can cause some interruption of satellite communications, although engineers are learning how to build electronics that are protected against most solar storms. But there is no special risk associated with 2012. The next solar maximum will occur in the 2012-2014 time frame and is predicted to be an average solar cycle, no different than previous cycles throughout history."

What does your handwriting mean?

So I'm submitting my handwriting to be made into a font, WOO.. while working on that I decided to delve into what people's handwriting means, and how it describes them...is this accurate for you?

If letters slant to the left: Indicates introspection and a lot of emotional control.

If letter slant to the right: Reveals a person who's outgoing, friendly, impulsive, and emotionally open.

If letters are straight up and down: The sign of someone who's ruled by the head, not the heart.

Letters that slant in more than one direction: Indicates versatility and adaptability.

An erratic slant: Usually means a lack of flexibility.

Heavy pressure writing (like you can feel the rib made on the back of the paper): The writer is agitated.

Moderate pressure (the writing is dark, but you can't feel the rib on the other side of the paper): Shows ability to deal with stress.

Light pressure: Indicates someone who seems to take life in stride.

Tiny letters: Indicate the writer is has somewhat low self esteem but is intelligent.

Small letters: The hallmark of quiet, introspective types - they're generally detail-oriented and have good concentration.

Large letters: Sign of a confident, easygoing individual.

Huge letters: Indicate someone who's theatrical, usually loud, and needs to be the center of attention at all times.

Wide letters (their width and height are about the same): The mark of someone who's open and friendly.

Narrow letters: Show someone who's somewhat shy and inhibited but very self-disciplined.

Letters that don't touch: Indicate an impulsive, artistic, sometimes impractical free thinker.

The Zodiacs Changed!

Ok according to astronomers, changes in the slignment of Earth have changed the science of our astrological signs, and added a 13th sign, Ophichus. Apparently this change has been emminent throughout the years, but the change in the position of Earth in relation to the sun, has caused a need to change astrological signs! (look it up for your new..or maybe the same, astrological sign!).

I am now a Pisces. Before I was an Aries...apparently. So I will copy-paste what I found on what Pisces is..represents..or whatever, and how it relates to me. YEA!

Ok here is it from Pisces.com
"Pisces is the 12th sign of the Zodiac and is represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions. The two fish symbolize the internal struggle of the soul within a Pisces. Often, the fish are swimming away from each other in a circle representing life after death or reincarnation. Pisces is considered a feminine or negative sign. Feminine signs are considered more passive, receptive and sensitive than masculine/positive signs. Aptly called "old souls", Pisces thirst for spiritual knowledge and personal growth. They are the twelfth, and last, of the Zodiac signs, and as such, tend to have a more finely tuned intuition, sixth sense or extrasensory ability to perceive others feelings."

I don't think I have to explain the first part and how it relates to me...internal struggle...always..yea that's pretty accurate. I wouldn't consider myself sensitive but I am very perceptive...lying to my face is an impossible task. I would say I consider myself an "old soul" as well. This sign fits me a whole lot better than Aries did.

I know not everyone believes in horoscope or it's accuracy, but many people take what's written at face value, they don't delve into meaning.

In other news, I'm going to start posting my digital scrapbook minipages on here..because I don't know where else to post them (Facebook screws up the resolution soooo much)

Meatloaf for dinner tonight...and I cleaned..all freaking day. Phone is off, a ton of laundry to do tonight and tommorow. OH and I deleted most of the Facebook app games, I don't ever play them..except Cityville. And I'm done. I'm going to post the first scrapbook mini page tonight when I'm finished!

It is a New Year..

I didn't celebrate New Years Eve, the end of 2010. 2010 was a terrible year.

I hope that this year brings new hope, the last few have been very rough indeed. I don't feel like myself right now, I have a severe head cold/chest cold, maybe sinus infection and bronchitis, so my head is floating. But I wanted to write a blog, just to write, and to permanently put 2010 in the past.

Normally I have no problem putting things behind me and moving forward, but with everything that has happened, I don't know where to begin. What happened to me will stay with me for the rest of my life, my scars are emotional as well as physical, so I'm learning to look inside myself for the strength that I need to move ahead. So my resolutions (and explanations of each of course) are as follows.

New Year, New You...I am a new person, and this is where my life begins.

1) Exercise. I want to be able to run again or walk, cardio, something. My ankle is still giving my problems, but I want to get to the point where I can work out like I used to and get that adrenaline going.

2) Keep a daily (or something like that) journal. I feel better when I write out my thoughts, blogging is great but I can't exactly share every aspect of my life for the world to read. So I'm going to make a journal (scrapbook style), and attempt to write in it every day whether it be poems, random thoughts, doodles, or rants.

3) More business. Get more business through advertising, and get the website up by the end of January.

4)Move. away from here.

In no particular order, but those are the things I'm aiming for this year. I find it hard to believe its already January, I missed so much of 2010 from being confined to a bed or wheelchair. It's really depressing. But here I am. This is me, moving forward. 2010 is behind me, as well as everyone who abandoned me that were once friends. I'm looking ahead.

I'm at the starting line for the rest of my life, ready as I've ever been.

A new life, a new me. This is the first day.

And I'm Done..

Call it poetry, call it random thoughts, call it bursts of emotions. What have you. But the truth is, it has no rhyme or reason, but it's what I feel.

I'm done.
With this place, with this time, with these people.
I need a change.
Complete renewal.
Of myself, of my life, of my being.
It's time to move.
The time is now.
A new year is coming.
This place is a dead end.
Nothing positive is here.
Bad memories at best.
I want to, no...HAVE to leave.
Now is the time.
